Cassie Schirm is an Emmy Award–winning journalist whose reporting has taken her from Africa to Alaska, always chasing stories that spark change and lift up the people behind them. She is fueled by a love for community and a passion for giving a voice to those who need it most. Since landing in New Orleans, Cassie has fallen head over heels for the city, from the people who welcomed her in to the culture that never stops moving. Mardi Gras is where she unleashes her full personality with costumes, glitter, and all the joy that makes New Orleans feel like home.
